Laozi experienced and comprehended Tao through Xiang such as water, gyroscope, vegetation and so on. At the same time, he used Xiang to explain Tao. Xiang is not only the way by which Laozi got enlightenment, but also the carrier as the metaphor of Tao. Laozi＇ s thought is so deep and distinctive, which is largely based on his deep insight on Xiang. Xiang helped Laozi to take the way leading to wisdom realm, and to build up his imaginative and meaningful world.
