In this paper, the reason for‘the phenomenon of Liang Sicheng＇will be discussed from three aspects： the formation of this phenomenon, the analysis of Zhu Tao＇s book, and the function of mass media. The conclusion will be drawn： 1. This phenomenon reflects the fracture between the discipline of architecture and mass media; 2. The historical works on Liang Sicheng are part of the whole architectural historical works; 3. The motivations behind this phenomenon are the objective needs in different eras.
