数据挖掘能有效地从存放在数据库中的大量的看似杂乱无章的数据中,挖掘出具有价值的信息,为决策者的正确决策提供强有力的支持和可靠的保证。因此,数据挖掘正被越来越多的领域所采用,并取得了较好的效果。为更好地理解和实现数据挖掘,对数据挖掘的基本概念、研究现状、采用的基本方法、数据挖掘的应用领域及注意的问题作了简单的介绍。

Data mining is an important research area of recent intelligent system theories.It combines advanced techniques,such as artificial intelligence,computational intelligence(artificial neural network,genetic algorithm),pattern recognition,and statistics to mine and discover valuable and hidden knowledge from databases.In recent years,the state of data rich and knowledge poor has to the rapid development of data mining,and researches in many different fields have shown great interest about it.The basic concept,methods,and application of KDD/data mining are introduced in this paper.
