Temporary Relationship:The Climax of Exhibition

"临时关系"艺术展于2015年6月19日在北京德滋画廊开幕,策展人为王栋栋,参展艺术家为毕达、陈启基、陈友桐、陈星州、程毅、胡尹萍、石罴、孙源、王霄、王旭东和夏炎。展览主题"临时关系"是一种问题意识。王栋栋认为,当下的展览过度泛滥,缺乏专业自律,我们应该做的是在展览工作中思考那些不同背景、不同形态的艺术品如何有意义地临时集合在这里。他希望找到展览自身存在的文化合理性。此次展览同时意在探讨展览本身的问题,策展过程体现了策展人自身长期以来面对展览职业化的某种反思,同时也是一次关于艺术自我的追问。

The art exhibition Temporary Relationship opened at DeZi Art Center, Beijing, on June 19, 2015. The curator is Wang Dongdong, and the participating artists include Bi Da, Chen Qiji, Chen Youtong, Chen Xingzhou, Cheng Yi, HuYinping, Shi Pi, Sun Yuan, Wang Xiao, Wang Xudong, and Xia Yan. The theme of the exhibition, ＂temporary relationship＂, is a reflection of problem consciousness. Wang Dongdong thinks that, in view of the excessive proliferation of exhibitions and the lack of professional self-discipline at present, what we should do is to consider how to gather temporarily works of art with different backgrounds and in different forms in a meaningful way when we are organizing an exhibition. He hopes to find the cultural rationality of the existence of the exhibition itself. At the same time, the exhibition is intended to probe into the problem of the exhibition itself. The process of curating embodies the rethinking of the curator for a long time about the professionalization of exhibitions. It is also an inquiry into art itself.
