Caligraphy in the Context of Mass Culture

大众文化的流行给人们的审美带来了巨大的变化,受传统社会思想影响,在传统社会中成长、造就的书法,不可避免地受到当前盛行的大众文化的影响和冲击。大众文化也给书法的发展带来了机遇。书法作为中华文化的载体之一,是雅俗共赏的艺术形式,书法文化的继承与发展既需要大众的参与,又需要精英阶层的担当。

The popularity of mass culture has greatly changed people＇s sense of aesthetics. Calligraphy, which was infiltrated by traditional social thoughts in the traditional society, is inevitably affected and impacted by today＇s popular mass culture. However, mass culture has also brought some opportunities for the development of calligraphy. As a carrier of Chinese culture, calligraphy can be appreciated by people at different levels; therefore, its inheritance and development need the participation of both the masses and the elites.
