谢赫《古今画品》题名辨证

Discrimination of the Titles of Xie He's Classification of Ancient and Present Painters

南朝谢赫的画论著作,在古文献中有《古今画品》《画品》《古画品录》几种题名。现代学者多采用《古画品录》或《画品》,并有学者考证认为《画品》是原题名。本文考证认为谢赫著作原题名是《古今画品》,《画品》是其简称,《古画品录》等是后代辑录或传写而产生的别名。

The work on painting by Xie He in the Southern dynasties is referred to under several titles in old literatures, namely, Classification of Ancient and Present Painters,Classification of Painters, and The Record of the Classification of Old Painters. Most modern scholars adopt Classification of Ancient and Present Painters or Classification of Painters; some believe that Classification of Painters is the original title. It is believed in this essay, after research, that Classification of Ancient and Present Painters is the original title, for which Classification of Painters is the abbreviated form, and that The Record of the Classification of Old Painters is another title that was generated when the work was compiled or copied in later periods.
