摘要
本研究基于Byram的跨文化能力多维度模型,该量表包括意识、态度、知识、技能等四个能力维度,对237名中国大学非英语专业学生的跨文化交际能力进行对比研究。研究结果表明:非英语专业学生的跨文化交际能力总体偏低;在四个能力维度中,仅意识维度在两组被试间存在显著性差异。因此,应继续开展以内容为依托的跨文化交际课程,以提高学生的语用语言能力和跨文化交际能力。
Based on Byram's intercultural communicative competence(ICC)assessment model,which includes four dimensions,namely awareness,attitude,knowledge and skills,this paper reports a comparative study on the intercultural communicative competence of 237 Chinese nonEnglish majors.The results indicate that the ICC of Chinese non-English majors is of low level and that there is significant difference in awareness.The study proposes that more emphasis should be placed on enhancing students' pragmalinguistic and intercultural competence by introducing content-based intercultural communicative courses.
