再议“类型”——“类型”本体及其对建筑设计的意义

Again on "Type" :Its Ontology and Validity in Architectural Design

介绍了建筑学中"类型"概念的由来、德·昆西对"类型"的经典定义,以及诸多著名现代理论家和建筑师的解释,力求完整、系统地诠释"类型";进一步挖掘"类型"定义中所体现出的"主客体二元性"的源头,由此引申出它与"形式"之间关系的探讨。这两个方面属于本体论研究的范畴。最后,从建筑形式创造的角度出发,阐明了"类型"对建筑设计的意义,由此也表明了其被引入建筑学的原因。

This paper aims to interpret ＂type＂ comprehensively and systematically and to explore its primary validity in architectural design.At first,it expatiates the origin of this term in architecture,its classical and authoritative definition from Quatremere de Quincy,and its typical explanations from some famous modern architects and theorists,and then distills and summarizes them.Secondly,it goes further to probe into the source of the ＂subjective and objective duality＂ demonstrated in the interpretations of this term,and further inquires into the relationship between ＂type＂ and ＂form＂.The above two belong to the ontology of ＂type＂.Finally,from the perspective of building form production,the paper illustrates the validity of ＂type＂ in architectural design which is also the main reason why it was introduced into architecture.
