Investment banking is one of the important business of modem commercial bank.With financial globalization,the impact of the financial crisis is larger than before,so that the investment banking business of commercial Banks is faced with crisis and challenge.This paper examines the rise and fall of European commercial bank investment banking history and background,in order to bring some inspiration to the Chinese commercial Banks to develop investment banking.
