Practical, Integrative and Open-ended An Experiment in Landscape Architecture Studio for Graduate Students in Beijing Forestry University

应对时代发展对风景园林人才的新要求,北京林业大学研究生风景园林设计课程尝试了综合性课题研究,通过选择真实地块,强调多学科融合和开放设计过程,让学生在探索中学习解决复杂问题的思路和方法,并加深对当代风景园林学科的意义和作用的理解。

In response to the increasing challenges for landscape talent in the rapidly changing world, Beijing Forestry University tried to do the comprehensive subject study in the landscape architecture studio for graduate students. By selecting the plot site, emphasizing multi-disciplinary integration, and insisting on Open- ended process, the studio helps students learn how to advance their ideas and methods to solve complex problems, and to better understand the significance and the effect of contemporary landscape architecture.
