Defining the Sound Symbols Ideographic Character from the Jue Sound Character in Shuo Wen

许慎的《说文解字》中有22个"夬声"字,徐锴注的《说文解字》中有一个新附字"诀",从23个"夬声"字,得出"夬"声符是表意的,且"夬"声符是表示四个词义系统。夬声符的分意有两个发展方向,一是具体事物的分,二是抽象事物的分。夬声符字以决字决定的两类词义系统,一是事物的发生演变结果,二是事物发生时的状态。

There are 22 Jue sound words in Xu Shen＇s Shuo Wen Jie Zi. There is a new attached word ＂Jue＂ in Xu Kai＇s notes on Shuo Wen Jie Zi, denoting that, from 23 ＂Jue sound＂ words, ＂Jue＂ sound character is ideographic and ＂Jue＂ sound character indicating a four meaning systems. There are two directions for the meaning distribution of ＂Jue＂ sound, one for specific things, the other for the abstract matter. Sub-Jue phonetic categories determine two word meaning systems from the Jue character. One is the result of the evolution things happened, the other is the state of things when occurring.
