摘要
外在主义的出现某种程度上标志着现代哲学关注的核心开始从语言分析向心灵分析的转向,而外在主义自身又经历了从消极外在主义向积极外在主义的演进。外在主义面临的问题及其对这些问题的应对和解答向我们揭示了:语词的意义与人内在的心智,以及外部环境间存在着不可分割的联系,并且这种联系不是静止和单向的,而是一定要在相互的影响中体现出主客体之间的辩证联系。进而我们可以说,外在主义其实不外乎是利用现代科学与技术工具,以更加规范和精致的方式为康德所提出的"人为自然立法"的形而上学论断做辩护。其对心灵过展问题的思考旨在揭示:康德为人类认识能力所划出的界限仍然适用于现代科学研究。
The externalism somehow signifies the turning of modern philosophy from linguistic analysis to analyzing the mind,and itself has experienced a positive evolution of doctrine from externalism to active externalism. Externalists' problems faced by its doctrine and the responses and answers to these questions reveal to us: there are indivisible connections between the meaning of words,the human minds and the external environment. And such link is not static or unidirectional,it must reflect the dialectical relations between subject and object in their mutual influences. Furthermore,externalism is nothing more than defending for the metaphysical thesis" humans make laws for the nature",offered by Kant,in a more normal and delicate way. And its thoughts about the overextended-mind problem aim at revealing that the limit of human' s cognitive ability found by Kant still should be suitable for modern scientific researches.
