The NASPAA Certification and Its Influence on MPA Education in China

全美公共管理学院协会(NASPAA)是美国国会立法核准的MPA教育专业认证机构,依据机构使命,NASPAA的认证活动遵循特定流程,依照七大认证标准和严格的时间节点开展自评、反馈、考察准备及实地考察等系列活动,其认证活动具有自愿申请、参与踊跃、组织严密、过程规范、认证标准紧密围绕办学使命及其履行情况、认证过程互动频繁、认证标准详尽等突出特点。结合我国MPA教育现状可借鉴NASPAA认证经验,进一步明确办学使命,制定严谨的质量保障程序,注重办学特色,开展课程创新,提高学生能力。

American National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration（NASPAA） is the MPA education professional certification organization which approved by the U.S. Congress legislation. According to its missions, NASPAA follow a particular process to implementation of professional certification. Based on the seven evaluation criteria and strict timeline, NASPAA carrying out self-evaluation, feedback, investigation and survey. Its certification activities have many distinctive features, such as： voluntarily, enthusiastically, well-organized, process specification, certification standards closely around the mission and its implementation,frequent interaction, certification standards detailed and so on. The MPA education in China can learn from the experience of NASPAA certification, such as： clear the mission; development of the rigorous quality assurance procedures; focus on school characteristics and try to curriculum innovation to improve students＇ abilities.
