Shen Guangwen the Spiritual Culture of East Zhejiang

作为一位生长于浙东文化背景下的传统文人,开台先师沈光文与同时代的乡贤黄宗羲、朱舜水一样,深受浙东文化的濡染。沈光文在政治、军事、文化教育等方面都躬行实践,卓有建树,体现和彰显了经世致用的浙东文化精神。沈光文在台湾筚路蓝缕,撒播下中华文明的种子,他在文学、文献、医学、教育等诸多领域的始创之功,正是对开拓创新、敢为天下先的浙东文化精神的最好阐释。此外,沈光文还深受浙东文化博纳兼容的开放精神的影响,这不仅表现在其博洽贯穿的知识结构上,还表现在他于历史转折之际的政治态度和文化选择上。

As a traditional literati with the background of Zhedong culture, Shen Guangwen is deeply influenced by Zhengdong culture as his fellows Huang Zongxi and Zhu Shunshui did in the same times. Shen Guangwen practises and contributes a lot in terms of politics, military and cultural education, which reflects Zhedong culture of practical principle. Shen Guangwen spreads the seeds of Chinese civilization at the uncultivated island, Taiwan with his hard efforts. His founding contribution in the fields of literature, document, medicine and education is the best explanation of Zhedong culture of innovation and enterprise. In addition, Shen Guangwen is influenced by the spirit of extensive collection and incorporation in Zhedong culture, which is reflected not only by his comprehensive knowledge construction, but also his political attitude and cultural choice at the moment of historical turning point.
