中西文化中自然观比较(上)

中西传统文化对待自然的态度大相迳庭,西方人视自然为上帝的造物,且从上帝处获得了驾驭自然、征服自然的权力,而中国人则视自然为万物的本原,对自然采了敬畏与呵护的态度。这样两种截然不同的态度,深刻地影响了传统中国的城市、建筑与园林。

It is very different on the points of view to the nature between ancient China and traditional West. The Western culture concern to the nature as the creature of God and God give human beings the right to conquer and control the nature. But, the ancient Chinese people concern the nature as the principle of the world and human being. The Chinese culture have taken an attitude of respect and conservancy on the nature. The two different attitude about nature influence the traditional architecture and garden in East and West.
