摘要
田汉是中国近现代戏剧的奠基人之一,也是重要的欧美文学和日本文学翻译家。然而目前国内外的研究者更多关注的是田汉在戏剧方面的成就,对其在外国文学译介方面的成就和贡献则鲜有人关注。田汉对外国文学的译介具有明显的思想倾向性,田汉对欧美文学的翻译前期多从唯美主义和悲剧意识出发选择作品,后期更多关注社会问题,对欧美文学的翻译起到重要的推介作用;田汉对日本文学的翻译集中在戏剧和小说方面,戏剧更多关注作品的艺术价值和社会问题,小说则集中于对日本唯美派作品的译介,是"五四"新文化运动时期日本文学译介的先驱;田汉对于外国作品的评介具有地域广泛、门类齐全的特点,其文学译介和创作实践对新文化运动起到重要的推动作用。
As one of the tounders of China' s modem and contemporary drama, TIAN Han is also an important translator of European, American and Japanese literature. But current study about him at home and abroad focuses mostly on his achievement in drama rather than his achievement in the translation of foreign literature. In his earlier stage of translation of European and American literature, he chose from aestheticism and tragic consciousness, while in his later stage, more from social problems . In his translation of Japanese literature, he focused on dramas about their own artistic value and social problems and fictions of Japanese aestheticism , which made him a pioneer in the period of May 4th New Culture Movement. His review of foreign literature targets diverse regions and covers extensive fields and his translation and introduction of foreign literature and creative practice is a great push to the New Culture Movement.
