Foreign Research on Ian Mc Ewan's Novels

麦克尤恩的长篇小说创作一直是国内外学术界的研究热点。国外研究(主要是指英语国家)较为全面,宏观上涉及青少年成长﹑爱情﹑人际道德伦理关系﹑生态环境和创伤等宏大叙事主题的探索,微观上触及人物形象、情节、场景、叙述策略、语言特点等多方面,还彰显出跨学科的研究态势,具体表现为叙事学分别与心理学﹑神经学和历史主义等研究层面相互交融和关联。但是,国外研究存在许多不足之处。

In recent years, Ian McEwan＇ s novels have attracted great interest of scholars at home and abroad and become research focus. On one hand, some scholars have probed key themes, such as adolescent growth, love, ethical problems, eco-environment, and trauma in his novel. On the other, others have discussed his novels from formal features： character images, plots, scenes, narrative strategies, and language features. In addition, some researchers have also begun to study his novels in an interdisciplinary way, especially combining the perspective of narratology with that of psychology, neurology, and historicism. However, some deficiencies still exist in the foreign research.
