赤脚医生对福建农村医疗的贡献

The Contribution of Barefoot Doctors to Rural Health Care in Fujian Province

福建是我国疾病高发区。建国初期,福建百姓因病死亡人数很多。赤脚医生通过学习提高了医疗技术,通过宣传提高了百姓卫生意识和健康生活方式,丰富了医学知识,改善了农村落后的卫生状况。赤脚医生通过采集病原标本、发放和注射疫苗、利用民间验方、土方和单方等措施,在一定程度上控制了当时本地区的流行病、传染病,挽救了因农药、煤气中毒导致生命垂危的百姓生命,治愈了细菌性痢疾、软组织挫伤、感染和癫痫等农村常见病。赤脚医生对患者的治疗,大大减少了农村因病死亡人数,对福建农村医疗卫生事业的发展做出了积极贡献。

Fujian is a high incidence of disease area in China. In the early days of the founding of the People＇s Republic of China, there was a high mortality ratio in Fnjian Province. Barefoot doctors made great contributions to rural health care by improving their medical care competent, providing health education of heaith consciousness and healthy lifestyle to residents, improving the health status of under developed rural areas. By collecting the pathogenic specimens, providing vaccination, using folk prescription and local recipe, barefoot doctors controlled epidemic of many infectious diseases at that time, and saved tremendous patients＇ lives from pesticide and gas poisoning. Meanwhile, some common diseases, such as bacillary dysentery, soft tissue contusion, infection and epilepsy were well cured. In conclusion, the health services of barefoot doctors had helped to reduce the mortality ratio and made significant contributions to rural health care in Fujian Province.
