《论语》是中国人的经典。千百年来,《论语》一直是人们广为传诵和学习的典籍之一,被不断地翻译为多种语言流往世界各地。而在其众多的英文译本中,理雅各、韦利及刘殿爵这三位译者的版本最受读者的追捧和认可。从关键的文化概念词处理、语言特点、文化误读三个方面出发,分析总结典型例子,对《论语学而篇一》理译本、韦译本及刘译本做出一个综合的考量。

The Analects, a main classic of Chinese culture, is widely read and learned by people from both china and abroad for thousands of years. As one of the most famous Chinese classics, it is translated into numerous kinds of languages. Among its many English versions, Legge＇ s, Waley＇ s and Lau＇ s versions are most recognized and accepted by the academic field. This article centers on a comparative study of these three versions from three perspectives, i.e. the translation of key concept words, the characteristics of sentences and their cultural misleading.
