中西方文化中的“颜”外之意

颜色词在一种语言的词汇中除了本身的颜色含义,更融合了本族语文化的内涵。中西方地域、历史和文化等因素的差异使得汉语和英语中的颜色词在表达色彩之外的内涵意义上有很大差异。在翻译时,应注意区分这些颜色词中汉语和英语的不同内涵,采用直译、意译、直译加注的方式表达其准确含义。

Colors have become an indispensable part of humans＇ languages with the development of languages after the nature had given them to people. However, words containing colors usually express more about its culture than the meaning of itself. The words containing colors between Chinese and English are diverse a lot due to the different cultures. The thesis mainly contrasts and studies the different culture meanings of some common words containing colors in Chinese and western cultures and illustrates the translating skills.
