Objective: To study clinical nursing pathway for improvement of pulmonary function in children with drug resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae pneumonia and its influence on nursing satisfaction. Methods: One hundred and twenty cases of drug resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae pneumonia children patients treated in our hospital from August 2012 to May 2015 were enrolled as study subjects, and they were randomized into observation group ( application of clinical nursing pathway) and control group ( application of routine nursing) with 60 in each group. The correlation index of nursing, the pulmonary function index before and after nursing, and the satisfaction degree of nursing were compared between the two groups. Results: The time of hospitalization, of body temperature recovery, of blood recovery and of lung breathing recovery was significantly less than that of the control group, thedifferences being statistically significant ( P 〈 0.05 ). The levels of MIF, 25/PF, MEF and tPTEF/tE in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P 〈 0.05 ). The satisfaction degree of children in the observation group was 90.00%, significantly higher than that of the control group's 63.33% (P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion: Clinical nursing pathway for children patients with drug resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae pneumonia can better improve pulmonary function and the satisfaction of patients' family members with nursing service.
