In April 2016, the Shanghai Gold Exchange （SGE） saw transactions with a total value of 1435.031 billion yuan, up 54.32% year-on-year. In April, gold was traded 4244782.76 kilograms in SGE, up 42.10% year-on-year; the trading value of gold stood at 1099.019 billion yuan, up 55.13% year- on-year; and its average daily turnover was 212239.138 kilograms. Platinum traded in April totalled 4554 kilograms up 14.59% year-on-year; the trading value of platinum was 1.014 billion yuan, up 4.72% year-on-year; and its average daily turnover was 227.7 kilograms.
