In the Chinese cultural history,He Zhizhang has been complimented by the later generations because of his poem： On My Returning Home,his influence surpassing the other poets of his time. From the sociological and ideological perspectives,the paper means to discuss the causes for his ever-lasting influence： the poem describes a common phenomenon in traditional society and conveys a universal concept. His success lies in the poetic language utilized to convey common sense and rationality. This is a mode of thinking typical of the poets in Tang dynasty.
