李白《静夜思》的三种英译本述评

A Comparative Study of Three English Versions of Jing Ye Si

作为李白的经典诗作之一,《静夜思》千百年来以其真挚的情感和优美的意境为世人传诵不息。以Fletcher、刘军平、许渊冲等三英译本为分析语料,分别从意象、音韵美、风格标记、节奏等层面对上述译本逐个展开探析,旨在说明在唐诗英译的过程中,译者唯有在译文中再现原文的上述四个层面,才能使译文读者获得和原文一样美的享受,借以最大限度传递原文的文化内涵和艺术魅力。

As one of the classic poems composed by Li Bai, Jing Ye Si has been widely read by readers for centuries owing to itssincere emotions and beautiful artistic conception. Taking the English versions of Fletcher, Liu Junping and Xu Yuanchong as thesubject, the paper attempts to make a respective analysis of the three versions from the four perspectives of imagery, beauty ofrhyme, stylistic marker and rhythm, aiming to illustrate that only by reflecting the above four aspects in the their translation of Tangpoetry can they make the TL readers realize the same enjoyment of beauty as in the original work, thereby conveying the culturalconnotation and artistic charm of the original work to the maximum.
