隐喻辨识中的词典使用

Using Dictionary in Metaphor Identification

隐喻研究是当代认知语言学、心理语言学、应用语言学和语料库语言学的热点之一,其中,隐喻辨识是隐喻研究的基础。自2007年MIP问世以来,越来越多的人采用MIP进行隐喻辨识研究,而词典运用是其中的关键因素。本文通过阐释词典中义项切分、词的历史信息和搭配信息在隐喻辨识中的作用,指出在应用MIP进行隐喻辨识的过程中,词典是研究者确定词汇单位、进行词义对比、判断词的隐喻性的重要参考工具,词典使用为隐喻研究的客观性、可靠性提供了保障。

Metaphor has been the focus of cognitive linguistics, psycholinguistics, applied linguistics and corpus linguistics,and metaphor identification lays a solid foundation for metaphor research. Since MIP was introduced in 2007,it has been widely used in linguistic metaphor identification,in which dictionaries play an important role. The author,by elaborating how dictionaries help MIP with sense distinction, collocation and historical information, proposes that dictionaries,as independent reference tools,enable researchers to determine lexical units,compare and contrast basic sense and contextual sense,and eventually,identify metaphorically used words,which guarantees the reliability of linguistic metaphor identification.
