Metaphysical basis of traditional Chinese medicine

中学为本,西学为用,此乃中医发展之大道。文章从五行入手,指出了戊土、己土的脏腑新意,戊土乃胃和骨,己土乃脾脏和西医之淋巴;从戊土入手,重新厘定了肾脏,肾脏乃大脑、髓和生殖器;从己土入手,重新厘定了心包络和三焦,心包络乃心脏外围之血管系统,三焦乃西医之内分泌系统;从新理解的脏腑入手,重新厘定了精神,精为神之根,神为精之官,精神一家。文章试图为中西医的汇通奠定理论基础。

Chinese learning being basis while western learning being use is the way of developing traditional Chinese medical science. This article attempted to point out WU-earth and JI-earth from the five elements. WU-earth pointed to stomach and bone. JI-earth pointed to spleen and lymph as western medicine saying. From WU-earth, kidney was refined as kidney pointed to brain, marrow and genital organ. From JI-earth, envelop of the heart and triple energizer were refined as envelop of the heart pointed to blood-vascular system of the peripheral heart and triple energizer pointed to endocrine system as western medicine saying. From the new understanding of zangfu organs, jingshen(spirit) was refined as ‘jing' was the root of ‘shen' and ‘shen' was the supervisor of ‘jing', which formed an indivisible whole. The article attempted to establish a theoretical foundation for the communication and fusion between the traditional Chinese medicine and the western medicine.
