We introduced the application advantage Of haploid technology in maize breeding, induced mechanism and genetic regularity of haploid, necessary link for haploid breeding technology of maize, and the utilization status in China. At the same time, the limitations and difficulties of haploid technology application were discussed. The possibility of using this technology in the breeding of fresh edible maize was forecasted.
