翻译模因论视域下林语堂汉译英典籍中的翻译策略

On the Strategies Adopted in the C-E Translation of Chinese Classics by Lin Yutang under the Guidance of Memetics

林语堂汉译英典籍是其翻译作品中最为出色的一部分,选取其中五部比较有影响力的汉译作品作为研究对象,从翻译模因论的视角对其译作进行抽样分析,通过案例分析和数据统计,探究林语堂在汉英翻译中灵活策略的应用及意义。

Translations of Chinese classics are among Lin Yutang's most outstanding achievements. This paper selects five of his popular translation versions as the research subject and conducts a detailed and statistical analysis of the sample translations extracted from them. Based on those statistics,this paper attempts to make an intensive study of the flexible strategies adopted by Lin in his translation activities and the significance from the perspective of memetics.
