This paper introduces the evolution of examination and approval work on chemistry terms, and discusses a series of examination and approval work on chemistry terms during the second session of authorized committee, including Chinese names for new elements, Chinese names for chemistry terms and standard of Chinese characters, definition of chemistry terms, and difference in chemistry terms between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.
