从清华校园的风气转变看“五四”的转捩点意义

Significant Campus Atmosphere Changing in Tsing Hua from the "May Fourth Movement" as a Turning Point

以往人们在谈论"五四运动"的时候,目标多集中在它们的策源地北京大学。比起北大的主角地位,清华在"五四运动"中的作用相对显得次要。不过,从清华的校史来看,"五四"的意义却不容小视:它是清华的青年学子从最初的相对封闭、沉寂到积极汇入本国时代主潮、参与现实变革的一个转捩点。

When the topic of ＂May Fourth Movement＂ was generally discussed, people were used to pay more attention to Peking University which is the place of origin. Tsing Hua School did not play a role as significant as Peking University in the movement. However, according to its school history, we will find out that ＂May Fourth＂ was a turning point that the campus atmosphere of Tsing Hua changed greatly, from where the youth students actually started to take part in the political process both inside and outside the campus.
