冼夫人信仰与妈祖信仰传播演变比较研究

Comparative Study on Propagation and Evolution about Belief in Madam Xian and Belief in Mazu

冼夫人信仰和妈祖信仰在发端之初都属于地方性的民间信仰,冼夫人的原始身份远比妈祖要显赫,但在两种信仰的传播演变过程中,妈祖信仰却在传播范围、传播能力上超越了冼夫人信仰。两种信仰主体的生命历程、原初身份及传播历程中官方力量的参与程度、信仰传播的环境等因素,皆为两种信仰传播演变异同之成因。

Belief in Madam Xian and belief in Mazu all belong to the local folk belief at the beginning.Madame Xian＇s original identity is more prominent than that of Mazu,but belief in Mazu gradually prevailed over belief in Madam Xian in terms of propagation range and influence in the course of their propagation and evolution.The similarities and differences of this two kinds of beliefs in the their propagation and evolution can be attributed to their life course,their original identity,as well as official involvement in the process of their spreading.
