冷战后,随着经济实力增强,韩国政府对"中等强国"身份和地位的诉求意愿显著增强。经韩国历届政府的努力,韩国"中等强国"的身份及地位明确。同时,韩国"中等强国"开始由区域角色向跨区域角色、全球角色扩展。朴槿惠政府提出的"欧亚倡议"尝试塑造韩国"中等强国"的跨区域角色,将韩国"中等强国"的政治诉求推向新高度。

After the cold war,with the economic strength growing,the Republic of Korean is striving to be a ＂middle power＂.In the government＇s efforts,the status and identity of South Korea＇s ＂middle power＂ has becoming apparent clearly.The President Park Geunhye has proposed the ＂Eurasian initiative＂ that attempts to shape South Korea ＂middle power＂ as trans-regional role,which will the political aspirations of South Korea ＂middle power＂ to a new height.
