文学作品中专有名词的英译方法探析

采用案例研究法探究文学作品中专有名词的英译方法,所选案例为苏童小说《我的帝王生涯》和葛浩文的译本My Life as Emperor。搜集原文中所有的专有名词和相应译文,找出共性和差别,再针对个别专有名词进行数据分析,归纳出文学作品中专有名词的英译方法有零文外注释、转换、音译、意译、音意结合等。

By case study,the paper studies how to translate Chinese proper nouns in literary works.The case to be studied is My Life as Emperor written by SU Tong and translated by Howard Goldblatt.After collecting proper nouns and corresponding translated versions,finding something those translated versions share and differ,and analyzing specific words and their translated versions,conclusions on how to translate Chinese proper nouns in literary works are drawn：zero note beyond the text;shift;transliteration;free translation;combination between transliteration and free translation.
