Virtuous Remarks on Model Female in Ancient China

以往对列女的研究多关注其伦理文化内涵,对其传递社会正能量方面的贡献涉之甚少。事实上,列女们所坚守的义也凸现在对国家大事的关注,对国家命运的关切。为了其夫其子的为国尽忠,她们或自我节制、自我牺牲,或出谋划策、运筹帷幄,其通达、英明,绝不逊于贤士大夫。故而,还原列女的真实社会功能和客观形象,是中国古代社会史研究者的重要职责。

Previous studies on model female＇s social status are mainly about the ethic cultural connotation,involving little about their contribution to transferring social positive energy. In fact,the righteousness that the model female stick to also highlights on their attention to state affairs and the fate of the nation. They self- restrain,even sacrifice for their husbands＇ and sons＇ devotion to the country. In giving advice and devising strategies,they are more prudent and even wiser than virtuous scholar- officials. So it is the responsibility of the ancient Chinese social history researchers to restore the social function and the objective image of model female in ancient China.
