以rear为例用阶标理论解决机器翻译中形容词误翻为动词的问题

Taking rear as an example Solution to the Problem of the Adjective Errors in Machine Translation with the Theory of Order

本文其中选取了rear这个在科技语料库中的词性错误进行研究,首先通过采用乔姆斯基的阶标理论分析错误原因,然后通过归纳总结的方法提出了rear词性的判断方法,尤其是解决形容词性判定为动词词性的问题的方案,然后逐步从短语结构上升到句子层面验证解决方案的可行性,最后实验其可行性并且提出问题。本文从句法层面改善rear同时具有的形容词、名词、动词词性的单词翻译,为具有多种词性的单词在英中机器翻译中基于原有规则进行改善,并且为机器翻译增加准确率提供了思路。

In this thesis,the word＂rear＂is selected from numerous translation errors in the corpus of technology research to study and analyze translation mistakes in the domain of meaning and usage. Firstly,X- bar theory,proposed by Chomsky,is adopted to categorize the translation mistakes. Secondly,the theoretical solution is put forward for the recognizing the property of＂rear＂. Moreover,the major lexical error is corrected that the adjective is mistook for verb. Then,the deductive method is applied and the data is tested on the syntactic level. Therefore,the solution for the phrase structure is promoted to sentence structure so as to verify its feasibility. Finally,some unsettled issue and further improvements are suggested. This thesis aims to provide a way to the increase the accuracy in English- Chinese translation of words with various definitions and different grammar functions.
