两江师范与浙江两级师范图画手工科之比较

A Comparison of the Approaches to the Major of Painting and Handwork Taken by Liangjiang Normal School and Zhejiang Secondary Normal School

两江师范学堂于1906年创办图画手工专修科,开近代中国学校艺术教育专科化之先河;浙江省立两级师范学校于1912年开办高师图画手工专修科,艺术教育成就斐然。二校都为近代中国学校艺术教育事业作出了巨大贡献,堪称典范。就二校图画手工专修科的办学作比较研究,可对中国学校艺术教育发轫期的特征和成就作出若干客观评价。

In 1906 Liangjiang Normal School launched the major of painting and handw ork,becoming the first school in modern China to offer a major in art education.In 1912,Zhejiang Secondary Normal School also launched its major of painting and handw ork and achieved excellent results.Both schools played an exemplary role in making contributions to the cause of art education in modern China.This paper studies the approaches taken by the said schools to the major of painting and handw ork in an attempt to come up w ith an objective appraisal of the features and accomplishments of school art education in its inception in China.
