Nanjing brocade originated in the Six Dynasties, flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is the clothing material which is the fusion of North and South crafts, which are provided for palace and nobleman. Nanjing brocade is woven with refining silk, precious metal and feather materials. It is decorated with unique design, such as color contrast, circular wire weaving and flat metal line shaped selvage, dying color and left blank,and the same pattern in different colors, which has the mixture of elegant, solemn, gorgeous beautiful visual effect characteristics.
