《天下》中凌叔华小说译本的翻译选择

On the Translated Novels by Ling Hus Hua in T 'ien Hsia Monthly

民国时期的文学翻译处于我国四次翻译高潮之一,民国时期文学翻译的译入研究已经取得不少的成果,而对于译出的相关研究尚处于初级阶段。民国时期虽创办了不少的英文刊物,但从文化学术性和影响力来讲,由中国知识分子自己创办的《天下》当属佼佼者。凌叔华作为京派小说的女作家之一,《天下》收录了其本人和朱利安·贝尔合译的三篇小说译文。本文即以《天下》中凌叔华小说译文为例,分析在中西译者合译的译本中西方译者的翻译选择以及文化身份对翻译结果产生的影响。

The literature translation in the period of the ROC is one of the four translation peak times in China,and the researches of translation into Chinese is much more fruitful in achievement than of translation into English or other languages.T ＇ien Hsia Monthly is one the most influential English magazine in terms of cultural academy at that period.As one female writer of the Jing School,Ling Hus Hua published three short translated novels co-translated by herself and Julian Bell in T ＇ien Hsia Monthly.This paper will focus on the analysis of the translation choices due to the different cultural identities in these three translated novels.
