Canadian writer Margaret Atwood＇s newly published book The Heart Goes Last is a dystopian work. Atwood tries to make use of the prison images in this novel,to reflect on the contemporary politics,culture and economics through the depiction of the hellish realist world,the panopticon in the twin city as a social experiment,and the emblematic quality of the teddy bears knitted by women.
