从拟象象似性视角看葛译《生死疲劳》

摘要 基于Charles Sanders Peirce的符号三分法,象似性可以分为影像象似性、拟象象似性和喻象象似性。论文从拟象象似性角度分析《生死疲劳》葛浩文英译本在语篇层面对原文中顺序象似性、数量象似性和距离象似性的翻译处理,并探讨了译文对原文中顺序象似性的重构、数量象似性的再现以及距离象似性的模仿,旨在揭示拟象象似性指导下的翻译应摆脱"只达意传神而不彰显形式"的片面翻译观,要尽量达到"形神并重"、"形神兼似"的翻译效果。 Based on Charles Sanders Peirce's famous "trichotomy of signs",iconicity can be classified into imagic iconicity,diagrammatic iconicity,and metaphoric iconicity. The paper tries to discuss,from the perspective of diagrammatic iconicity,how the English version of Life and Death are Wearing Me Out by Howard Goldblatt deals with the three kinds of diagrammatic iconicity: sequential iconicity,quantitative iconicity and distance iconicity in the original at the textual level. It respectively discusses the reconstruction of sequential iconicity,the reappearance of quantitative iconicity and the imitation of time and social distance iconicity,aiming to reveal that under the guidance of diagrammatic iconicity,translation should get rid of the unilateral view that emphasizes only on meaning expression and ignoring form manifestation. Translation should achieve an effect of "equality between form and meaning"and "resemblance of form and meaning".
