Flipped classroom is a modernized teaching mode which realizes education innovation by utilizing modern new media information and technology. In recent years, design education has embraced the teaching mode "flipped classroom" proactively. This mode has completely overturned the traditional teaching method. It allows students to carry out relevant study activities via modern media communication tools before class, and to focus on interactions between the teacher and the students during class, with the purpose of inspiring the students' thinking ability, guiding their problem-solving ability, as well as cultivating their independent learning ability. But does this innovative teaching mode "flipped classroom" fit for advertisement design curriculum? Is traditional teaching mode good for nothing? How to integrate traditional teaching mode with the developing trend of innovative teaching and modern new media technology to copy with design education? By carrying out designed pre- and post-tests on two groups of college students under flipped classroom teaching and traditional teaching, this thesis takes 64 students who participate in the modular course "form analysis and transformation training" as the object of study, and statistically analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of both two models. Meanwhile, with the integration of new media modern teaching technology, this thesis probe into the subject of how to establish a mode suitable for design education, in order to provide teaching mode reference for domestic advertisement design education.
