海外中国文化中心发展策略思考--以孔子学院为镜鉴

Reflection on the Development Strategy of China Cultural Center:Based on the Mirroring Significance of Confucius Institutes

海外中国文化中心与孔子学院分属不同的部门,肩负相似的职能。孔子学院发展快,影响大;文化中心发展慢,影响小。但孔子学院的快速发展也带来负面舆论。本文以"中国文化中心应该怎么发展"作为关注的焦点,以"中国文化中心是否应该走孔子学院的道路"作为问题,通过对比两个机构的发展道路,主张中国文化中心探索一种与孔子学院互补的方式,在中国作为大国崛起和"中国威胁论"盛行的全球现实中,以柔性方式发挥文化"润物细无声"的影响力。

Overseas China Cultural Center and Confucius Institutes belong to different departments, butperform similar functions. Confucius Institutes develop fast with a great influence; China Cultural Center devel- ops slowly with small impacts. However, the rapid development of Confucius Institute also triggers negative o- pinion. Taking ＂How to develop China Cultural Center＂ as the focus and ＂Whether China Cultural Center should follow Confucius Institutes~ ways＂ as the question, this paper compares the path of two institutes＇ development and maintains that China Cultural Center should explore a complementary way along with Confucius Institutes in order to flexibly exert implicit effect in the global reality of rising China and the prevailing ＂China Threat Theory＂.
