从历代中医相关文献总结火针疗法的发展历史,火针疗法首见于《黄帝内经》,至汉代已被广泛应用,唐宋时期得到进一步发展,明代进入鼎盛时期,并分别明确各时期的适应证和禁忌证。同时,阐述火针疗法的现代发展状况及贺普仁教授在火针的传承及创新等方面做出的贡献。经过历代医家的研究和临床实践,使火针从简陋的工具、原始的操作方法和狭窄的临床适用范围,逐步改进,不断发展和完善,拓宽应用范围,提出临床禁忌,使之成为针灸疗法中独具特色的医疗体系。
