摘要
1994年成立的中国工程院对于中国工程科学技术(含医药卫生)界,以及对于中国院士制度的建立,具有里程碑性的历史意义。本文通过对现存档案资料的整理、当事人回忆自述,以及散见的笔记、谈话、信函等进行广泛求征和分析,对筹建中国工程院的经过进行了详尽的描述,并分析了中国工程院建院的社会历史背景和影响因素。同时说明了中国工程院不同于中国科学院和中国社会科学院的特点。
The Chinese Academy of Engineering established in 1994, which was a milestone in Chinese engineering science and technology （including medicine）, as well as in the establishment of the academician system in China. This article give a detailed description on the preparation of the CAE through collecting and analyzing various documents, memories of the participants, and notes, conversations, letters. Then the article analyzes the social and historical background and affective factors of the foundation of CAE. At the same time the article illustrates the unique characteristics of the CAE compared with Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
