领导式教学在大学专业英语教学中的运用

The Application of Teaching as Leadership in College Specialized English

大学专业英语是一门实用型英语课程。该课程对提升学生专业素养,培养学生国际化学术视野具有重要作用。然而,许多大学对专业英语的教学质量却远落后于公共英语的教学。通过简要分析专业英语课程对学生的重要性和当前高校普遍存在对专业英语教学质量低下情况,提出领导式教学的概念以及在提高大学专业英语教学效果上可能发挥的作用。结合《环境科学与工程专业英语》的教学实践,着重论述了领导式教学的理念、具体实施步骤和实施效果。最后,对领导式教学方法提出几点思考。

College specialized English is a practical course which can play an important role in improving students’ professional quality and cultivating international vision. However,it is almost general truth that the teaching quality of specialized English is lower than public English. By analyzing the importance of specialized English to students.We put forward the concept of teaching as leadership and the possible role in improving the teaching effect of college specialized English. Combining with the teaching practice of ＂environmental science and engineering professional English＂,this paper mainly discusses the concept,the specific implementation steps and results of teaching as leadership. In the end,this paper puts forward three rethinks on this teaching methods.
