The H-V envelope is the basic condition for the safe landing or successful miss-approach of helicopters after the failure of engine.The paper points out the main factor affecting H-V envelope,namely relative density in weight ratio(W/σ),puts forward the helicopter H-V envelope expansion flight method,and uses a certain type of helicopters to conduct H-V boundary expansion flight test.At last,the paper analyzes the flight test results,presents the H-V package diagram,and clarifies the key technologies and the precautions of H-V envelope expansion flight,which is helpful for the smooth implementation of H-V envelope expansion flight tests of other types of helicopters.
