The composition of pre- stressed anchor cable,action principle,application condition and arrangement form are introduced and matters needing attention during the construction are elaborated. Taking the actual engineering of high slope management as the background,finite element software is utilized,and back calculation analysis is made. In combination with site engineering geological condition,the safety factor of slope stability is calculated and significant role of pre- stressed anchor cable in high slope management is analyzed,which show that the influence of rainfall on the slope stability is the largest. The actual engineering proves that utilizing pre- stressed anchor cable to perform high slope management is successful,and high slope is still stable after many years＇ operation,thus providing guidance and reference for similar high slope management in the future through this management measure and calculation method.
