近年来,河南省高等教育规模得到了较大发展,但与全国其他省市相比还面临高等教育水平不高的突出问题,需要推动由高等教育大省向高等教育强省转变。建设一流大学是促进河南省经济社会发展、走创新驱动发展道路、保持持续竞争力的重要举措,也是河南省高等教育由大变强的必由之路。要把创建一流大学列入河南省"十三五"规划,力争进入国家一流大学建设布局,带动河南省高等教育水平整体提升。
