"传奇"是中国小说的重要叙事传统,它的影响一直渗透在近现代小说叙事模式的转变上。具有过渡性质的苏曼殊小说,其传奇品格体现在徘徊人与文之间的自叙传奇、对世情书写的浪漫传奇和搜神志异的人事传奇之中。在取奇的叙事模式上,苏曼殊采取多样化处理故事情节的方式和"逃离"的形式来构成逻辑序列,使其小说的传奇叙述具有奇而不幻、异而不虚的特质。苏曼殊小说的传奇叙事还呈现出与其它叙事手段混杂的状态,形成传奇与抒情、传统与现代的对立性张力。

＂Legend＂ is an important narrative tradition of Chinese novels, whose influence has penetrated in the transition of the modern novel narrative pattern. Su Manshu＇s novels have the nature of the transition and its legendary character is embodied in the self- narrative legends between man and text, the traditional writing romance and differ- ent person legends in mind. In legend narrative pattern, Su Manshu formulates his form of a logical sequence, using a variety of processing the plot and ＂escape＂ so that his legend narrative is characteristic of the strange without illu- sions. Su Manshu＇s legend narrative also presents a mixed state with other narrative means, which forms a balance between the legend and the lyrical, and the traditional and the modern.
