The proposition of “Legend circle”theory by Kunio Yanagida is the construction and devel-opment of the legend theory.Since it was introduced to China,a few scholars have discussed this theory from a theoretical point of view.The article,on the Chinese Scenery Legend Circle ,written by Mr.Wu Bing’an,is the representative achievements of Chinese scholars on the acceptance and use of “Legend cir-cle”theory.Constructing and applying “legend circle”theory is a essential aspect of legend research,and it is also an important way to improve the level of Chinese legend research.
